Corey Haim dead at 38

He was an 80's teen heartthrob, but he fell out of popularity and into drug abuse. He and his wife divorced last year. What a shame to die so young!

It's sad to see anyone die. He was the same age as my late wife Yolonda when she died.

Drugs seem to be at issue here. I also wonder at the report that they found 4 of his prescription drugs along with the illicit ones. Why would a 38 year old be taking so many prescription drugs? Sure that could be a variety of valid reasons but it just seem that Hollywood types take a lot of drugs, legal or illegal.

Oh we're all wacky in one way or another. I don't know why performers shouldn't be the same.

He's certainly done quite a lot of work in his life. I've heard of a few of them but I confess that I've never actually seen a single one of them.

And it was someone else who divorced his wife last year, Donna. Unless Wikipedia is wrong (possible but not likely on something like this) Corey Haim was never married though he was engaged to Nicole Eggert. According to a fansite, "she had a long and serious affair with famous teen actor Corey Haim but she refused to marry him."

Whackiness is the exception for most normal folks. For performers, it's the rule... possibly a necessity to their chosen vocation.
